Les Sharp is one of 18 Elected Members at Clackmannanshire Council. He is a Scottish National Party (SNP) Councillor and represents constituents in the Clackmannanshire West area of the county, covering the villages of Tullibody, Menstrie, Cambus and Glenochil. Les is spokesperson for the Health and Social Services and Vice Chair of People Committee. The Council’s representative on the Board of NHS Forth Valley and the SNP member on the Clackmannanshire and Stirling Integrated Joint Board. He is Scottish National Chair of APSE and National Council member. He is a Trustee of Clackmannanshire and Stirling Environmental Trust, Champion for Carers and Board Member of THLI.
When not at work, Les enjoys spending time with his family – he’s married with 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Cooking, gardening and music are other hobbies which Les enjoys on those rare occasions when he gets a minute to enjoy them. Currently living in Menstrie, Les has been heavily involved with the local Community Council where he was the chair for 10 consecutive years. In his time with the group, he has seen and contributed to many great things which have made the village what it is today.
