Morag Mason studied Biological Sciences at Glasgow University. She later helped in the family business and became a Community Councillor in Drymen. She was subsequently involved at Federation level in the Scottish Women’s Rural. Her involvement with Forth Valley Health Board began as a member of the Public Patient Panel and she became a public representative on the Project Board for the new Forth Valley Royal Hospital. She then moved to the Community Health Partnership. Morag is keenly interested in the future of Stirling Community Hospital and believes that sharing information in a respectful manner helps people have quality life at home. She is also a great supporter of respite care. Morag believes that joint care services have to be designed to reflect needs and linking with the Third Sector can also help support people. She is strongly committed to the national health service and integration with local authorities to help keep people in their own homes as long as possible. Morag is also a member of the Integration Joint Board Audit Committee.
