DESCRIPTION:CLICK HERE TO APPLY \nTitle of training  \nScottish Mental Health First Aid (SMHFA) \nTraining Number \n19052026 \nWhat is this event about?  \nSMHFA is a free\, face to face onsite learning course that is run over two days. SMHFA does NOT teach people to be therapists but is designed to provide participants from Clackmannanshire and Stirling with the knowledge and skills to identify\, understand\, and respond effectively to persons in distress. \nWho is this event for?  \nAnyone living or working in Clackmannanshire or Stirling Council areas. \nWhy should I attend this event?  \nParticipants will be able to respond if they believe someone is at risk of suicide\, give immediate help until appropriate or professional help is available\, know what to do in a crisis situation\, know the importance of good listening skills\, understand recovery from mental health problems\, learn about common mental health problems and understand the connection between mental health problems and stigma and discrimination. \nWhen will this event hold?  \n19th and 20th May 2026 \nHow much of my time will this event take?  \n9.30am – 4.30pm \nWho will be facilitating/organising the event?  \nJohanna Bauer\, Elaine Cochrane \nCLICK HERE TO APPLY \nThis expression of interest call for this event closes on 12/MAY/2026.
