Councillor Graham Houston was first elected as a Councillor for Bridge of Allan and Dunblane in 2007 and re-elected in 2012 and 2017. He served on the Social Care and Health Committee and sits as a member of the Licensing Board of Stirling Council.
Councillor Houston has been a member of the Scottish National Party since 1966 and has held a variety of posts in the local branch and constituency. He is an experienced, management coach and Non-Executive Director who has worked throughout the private and public sectors. Prior to setting up his own Consultancy he was the Scottish Director of The Work Foundation (formally The Industrial Society). In February 2009 Councillor Houston was appointment Chairman of the SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority). Councillor Houston was appointed to the Board of the first Scottish Police Authority in October 2012.
He is married with two grown-up children and has lived in Dunblane for over 30 years. Leisure interests include golf, gardening and reading. He is also an active member of Rotary and an elder in the Church of Scotland. Graham is also a member of the Integration Joint Board Audit Committee.
