Janine Rennie has been Chief Executive of Wellbeing Scotland for almost 12 years. She has worked in the field of substance misuse, mental health, disability, children and young people and overseas development. She is a qualified/experienced counselor and supervisor but also has qualifications in business and is an FCCA qualified accountant.
Janine started counselling people with disabilities and life limiting conditions 26 years ago. She worked on development of a volunteer centre and has devised a large number of successful service models including the In Care Survivors Service Scotland, and a national prison service for survivors of childhood sexual abuse. She also worked closely with Kaye Hills from Clackmannanshire Council on devising a Wellbeing Workers Project. Janine is Co-Convenor on the Cross Party Group for Survivors of Childhood Abuse.
