Nikki is the Chief Executive , Clackmannanshire Council, a highly committed senior manager with 30 years of public sector experience in Scotland and England. She seeks to promote a strong focus on raising ambition, sustainability and creativity within the sector for the benefit of our communities.
Nikki is a professionally qualified accountant and experienced auditor and inspector. She has worked for a range of public sector bodies including a County Council, two unitary councils, a leading accountancy firm and held senior roles within scrutiny bodies in both Scotland and England. Most of the roles Nikki has held have had a strong focus on driving improvement and whilst working in the public and private sectors, Nikki has delivered significant levels of consultancy/ value added work across a range of public sector clients including councils, the NHS, Higher and Further Education establishments, Police and Fire.
With a strong results focus, Nikki has delivered significant results ranging from a 34% reduction in the level of planned Scrutiny activity across all Scottish councils in 2010, to approximately £43 million of budget savings, £15m of cash savings and a £33m reduction in the level of debt since 2011 at Clackmannanshire Council. Nikki has provided leadership of a range of significant change programmes whilst sustaining the delivery of a portfolio of high performing services. She has expertise in respect of the operation and improvement of strategic partnership arrangements and continues to promote collaborative and innovative approaches to public service delivery for instance in respect of the City Region Deal and Regional Economic Strategy in her current role.
